Christmas Eve & Christmas Morning

We had a fairly low-key Christmas this year. Which, I know for some may seem strange, but we are usually running around like crazy people driving to see family, wrapping gifts, baking, finishing up work - or sometimes even working through the holidays - so this year, the quiet was welcome. (Above Black Dog pic is from my brothers house - his wife found it and loved it! I love it too!)
Since it was Christmas Eve, we had a fish - more specifically - baked Tuna fillets with tomato chutney on top (the chutney is homemade by Matt's mom every year) and creamed spinach with white wine.
Simple, but uber-delish!!!!

Christmas morning we did a bigger brunch with slived oranges, eggs, cinnamon rolls with juice and coffee. And (of course!) we ate it on our Christmas china!

After Brunch we gave Reese his big gift from Santa - a 4 ft rawhide candy cane bone!
He was very good and sat and waited........

But then wasn't sure what to do with it once he had it!

Matt helped him get an end - it was too big for him to really hold onto at first....
But once he got the end he was a VERY happy dog!
We have rationed the bone of course! And would never tell anyone to give all 4ft of rawhide to their dog at once!!!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, Hannukah and New Year's!!!

Matt and I are planning some larger (hopefully) projects for the coming year!
