Camping

I'm only running about 2 - 4 weeks behind on these posts! LOL
Around the middle of July, Matt and I took a week off work to hang out with Oliver and Melissa. We spent a few days 'trucking' around Maine camping and also swung by a few places we spent our summers as children. No, they don't look the same and yes, memories are sometimes better - BUT, the stories and memories we got to share with Matt and Melissa about being kiddos in Maine was awesome.
And don't worry! We spent an afternoon at LL Bean too!

SummerFest anyone?

The days were hot and muggy so whenever we stopped, we walked the dogs a little bit.
LadyBird loved being down by the water but Reese refused to leave land!!

Acadia National Park Visitor Center Map of the island.

The day we had planned on hiking up Cadillac Mountain, the heat index was over 105!! The Park Rangers weren't letting hikers up, so we drove the Loop Road, stopping frequently to get out and take pictures and enjoy the incredible views!

Our campsite in Sewall.....
No pic of our Camden campsite - it was much smaller and more wood-sey.

Rainfly's on both tents as it Thunder stormed every night!
Luckily we got s'mores and dinner cleaned up before it started!

Sewall had a rock beach - we all got our toes (and paws!) wet :-)

'new' phone has a camera on both sides....

camping with bangs isn't always a good idea!

There we go!
We all had such a great time - only wish it had been a bit cooler, less stormy (poor LadyBird doesn't like the rain!) and a bit longer! :-)
