those are ceiling tiles leaning against the wall

There will be a small ledge on the stairs -
maybe a good spot for pictures? :-)

there will be a floor to ceiling cabinet over the electrical panels

the dropped bulk head helps to visually separate the space

office area! 

YAY! for walls! soon it will be time for trim, doors, once the sprinkler heads are moved, the ceiling can be put in and sometime (hopefully) before carpet is installed, I'll be able to get the whole thing painted - woot!
