Basement Day... 18?

In ad mist the holidays, we managed to get 2 coats of paint on the basement walls before the ceiling guys put in the grid. It was lovely to not have to worry about cutting in around the entire ceiling!
The color, which was hotly debated, is the same color as the first floor living room and hallway - once called Light Incense, it is now called Cream Puff. I know it looks a bit yellow in the photos but I promise once the lighting is done, the trim painted crisp white, the moss green carpet in, the furniture, etc, it will look more like the warm creamy off-white cozy color that it really is.

Not all the ceiling tiles are in as we are waiting for the plumber to come change the sprinkler heads and the electrician to finish his wiring for various items like the baseboard heat and surround sound. (yes, big tv and surround sound in the basement!) we did however take this quick moment to snap photos and fill in more nail holes so that the trim can all be sanded and painted. The doors may wait until spring when I can do them all at once in the warmer weather in the driveway.

this will be the work-out area space
We are counting down the final days of this project and while I'm excited to get it finished and start enjoying the space, I'm also super excited to get the garage back for the cars so we don't have to shovel them out every time it snows!! :-)
